2/9/10 Kellan's 6 month check up went great! He is now 20lbs and 27" long!

1/1/10 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Kellan really enjoyed Christmas! Of course the bows and wrapping paper was the biggest hit..but he really enjoyed meeting all his relatives too:)

12/19/09 Kellan will be 5 months old on Christmas! Everybody tells you how it will fly by...but hard to understand until you live it! He has traveled to lots of dog shows and visited lots of people. His 4 month check up went well on the 7th - he was almost 18lbs (a tad too fat;) and 26" long (tall boy!). Those smiles and laughs...they can steal your heart;) He can now carry on quite a 'baby conversation', the hands grab at things really well now, etc. We have uploaded new pictures to both his albums...enjoy!

9/26/09 Kellan is 9 weeks old and he has been a busy boy visiting with relatives, our first family trip to the beach, 2 dog shows and now the Petit Lemans! Photos of course to show his travels:) He goes for his first shots this week...oh what fun! He is now 11lbs 9oz and is 23 inches long!

8/22/09 Hard to believe but 4 weeks ago Kellan was born! He is now 8lbs 6oz and approximately 22 inches long - growing and changing daily! The dogs are also adjusting to their new sibling quite well:)

8/2/09 Kellan is already a week old and so far all has gone pretty well considering we added a newborn to the house!:)

7/28/09 We are home! Exhausted but home:)

7/27/09 Kellan, mom and dad and are all doing good. We should be going home tomorrow morning:) Pictures of the little man will be posted sometime this week:) Thank you to all of our wonderful family and friends for your thoughts, prayers, and support;)

7/25/09 Well, after a week of mom having high blood pressure, they induced labor Friday night. By Saturday night we had experienced some difficulties and ended up having a c-section.

Kellan Andrew Spears was born at 10pm, 6lbs 8oz and 19 1/2" Long:)

7/21/09 Today's doctor's appointment did not go as well as expected:( Mom's blood pressure was high and they sent us to the hospital:( We finally got to leave late Tuesday night after they confirmed through tests that everything else seems okay. Mom is still on bed rest and is started on blood pressure medicine. We will go back this Friday for another check up.

7 month Ultrasound - 5/27/09

Kellan and mom got a clean bill of health on this visit. Ultrasound and all the blood work was perfect. Yeah!

Almost 6 month Ultrasound - 4/22/09

I am still a boy! I was not nearly as cooperative today for my photo shoot. I need more room in here...so I decided to fold up into a ball! This is the best they could get out of me. At least I have a name now!! Kellan Andrew Spears:)

5 month Ultrasound - 3/30/09

Well, it is confirmed....it IS a BOY! They measured and looked at all kinds of things today. Organs, bone length, etc...the little man is exactly where he should be and everything looked good. 2nd Tri-mester Genetic testing came back great as well:) So, we are done with that! He has also decided to be very clear that he is in there....mom can feel him quite often now!;)

4 month Ultrasound - 3/2/09

Everything is looking very good so far, including the genetic testing:) They think I am a boy...we will take another look at the next ultrasound on 3/30/09.

3 month Ultrasound - 2/2/09

First Ultrasound - 2 months, 4 days- 1/5/09
